Native American Event at Different Drummer!

Different Drummer welcomes back Gary Pond and his amazing collection of Native American jewelry. Gary will be here to open his area to the public one night only. Thursday June 20, 4-7pm

Friend and long time collaborator, Gary has been specializing in Native American jewelry since 1976. For the past several years Gary has also been collecting wampum from Rhode Island beaches to polish and bring back to his home in Arizona. It is there that these pieces are set by Native American artisans. Special to Rhode Islanders, the quahog used for making wampum beads are found only in Narragansett Bay and nearby Long Island Sound. We have a truly spectacular display of wampum jewelry and Gary’s visit will provide even more. This is a great opportunity to get something amazing for yourself or a friend.

Friday June 21st, Wickford will be hosting another Harbor Lights. This is a family friendly, free event. Pack a picnic dinner, try our one of the restaurants in town and enjoy a night under the moon on beautiful Wickford harbor. Music will be performed in Updike Park throughout the event. Different Drummer will be open until 9pm!
